A-4. Fishing: Eligibility and Services in Florida

Families travel the Gulf Coast area fishing the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The weather, gas prices, foreign imports and culture are all factors that influence the migratory fishing families. This session will showcase the fishing community in Pensacola, Florida and Vietnamese cultural influences. Participants will learn about the eligibility guidelines used in Florida to review actual fishing eligibility case studies. Lastly, best practices serving fishing families will be provided by the Panhandle Area Migrant Education Program.
