The U.S Department of Education's National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) offers Kids' Zone. It provides information to help students learn about schools; decide on a college; find a public library; engage in several games, quizzes and skill building about math, probability, graphing, and mathematicians; and to learn many interesting facts about education.

Figure This! Math Challenges

Figure This! provides math challenges for middle school students to do at home with their families. Teachers can also use these challenges as fun morning activities. The site is updated with three or four new challenges a month. Figure This! was launched by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, in cooperation with the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering, Widmeyer Communications, and the Learning First Alliance, with funding from the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Department of Education.
